Despite its modest size (there are no cars or roads here), Koh Phi Phi has plenty to see and do to keep you occupied.
Phi Phi Island is 46 kilometres from Phuket, and the only way to get there is via boat. Ferries from Phuket to Krabi take about two hours and ninety minutes.
With a wide range of hotels, restaurants, boutiques, and bars, it is the liveliest spot on the Phi Phi Islands. Tonsai West is the quietest side of the island, whereas Loh Dalum, Tonsai Village, and Tonsai East are great places to stay if you want to be active.
Koh Phi Phi, once a busy and bustling island, is now a peaceful and picturesque haven. After gaining a reputation as a party island in recent years, you can now relax and appreciate the serene, beautiful nature that we all fell in love with 20 years ago.
At Phi Phi, there is no wheeled transportation. You can walk a short distance, but this is not a viable option for numerous journeys. Longtail is the well-known taxi/cab/bus, and so on. You can take a longtail back to Laem Tong if you stayed at Holiday Inn and went to Tonsai Village for the evening.
In general, Phi Phi is the place to go if you want more peace and quiet, whereas Phuket is the undeniable party capital of the two. Phuket has more services and larger resorts, whilst Phi Phi is ideal for people wishing to detach and unwind from the outside world.
Although Phi Phi is a better alternative for what you’re looking for, you might spend time after your stay in Samui in Ko Phangan or Koh Tao, which are both easier to get to. Phi Phi Island is an easy pick for me because it has a younger crowd in Tonsai and the scenery is breathtaking. It’s also easy to get away from the main tourist areas and see beautiful beaches.
