Ko Phi Phi Leh

We have crafted an exceptional guide for travelers seeking an unforgettable experience on the beautiful island of Koh Phi Phi Leh next to the Koh Phi Phi island. Our guide is the ultimate resource for all your travel needs, including transportation, accommodations, dining, and activities.

Loh Sama (Sama Bay)

Koh Phi Phi Leh’s southernmost point is where Loh Sama is located. Most people visit this area to snorkel since it is home to several stunning corals and tropical species. In the shallow water, boats drop anchor, allowing you to swim, snorkel, and even feed the fish.

You may access Maya Bay from Loh Sama during low tide by passing through a tiny opening in a one-meter-high bluff. This may be the sole entrance to Maya Bay at times between May and October when the water is choppy.

Maya Bay

On three sides, rocks rising 100 metres high protect Maya Bay. The bay has a number of beaches, most of which are tiny and some of which are only accessible at low tide. Since The Beach was filmed in this location in 1999, Maya Bay has developed into one of Phi Phi’s top tourist destinations.

With silky white sand, vibrant coral, and exotic fish in wonderfully clear water, Maya Bay’s main beach is around 200 metres long. Because the entire bay is essentially one large reef, snorkelling is a very popular pastime.

Tips To Visit Maya Bay Without Crowds
Palong Bay

Koh Phi Phi Leh’s Palong Bay, which is located north of Maya Bay, is more of a diving location than a bay. In depths of 12 metres, several blacktip reef sharks and coral structures are visible. If you wish to snorkel and dive at Palong Bay, it’s better to sign up for a scheduled excursion because strong currents are frequently there.

Pi Leh Bay

On the west coast of Koh Phi Phi Leh, Pi Leh Bay features 100-meter-high sheer cliffs that rise out of the ocean. Except during the midday, the bay is mostly shaded.

Pi Leh Bay is really lovely, great for swimming, and has great snorkelling options just at the entrance. Speedboats and longtail boats are the only boats that can enter this long, narrow harbour since it is so shallow. Low tide doesn’t cause it to dry out.

Viking Cave

Swifts build their nests at Viking Cave, which is located north of Pi Leh Bay. Its name comes from a collection of wall murals showing Viking ships. Locals typically gather the nests from February to April using flimsy bamboo scaffolding to get to them. Bird’s nest soup is a traditional Chinese dish made from these incredibly uncommon nests.
