How to get to Phi Phi Island
The nearest airport is Krabi Airport, which is located about 60km from Phi Phi Don. There are direct flights to Krabi from Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. It’s also possible to fly into Phuket or Kuala Lumpur and then catch a flight from there.
The flight time from Bangkok is around 1 hour 50 minutes and costs around THB 2,000 – 2,500 per person one way (USD 70 – 90).
There are 2 types of boats that go between Phuket and Koh Phi Phi: catamarans (that take around 6 hours) or fast ferries (which only take 4 hours). You can travel by either one you prefer as they both stop at Ao Nang pier where you’ll be dropped off on Ko Lanta Yai island just before reaching your final destination at Tonsai Pier where all the action happens in Ton Sai Village!
