Travelers can now enter under the No Quarantine program with fewer restrictions after the removal of the Test and Go and Sandbox programs.

Thailand will have new entry requirements as of May 1, 2022.

Travelers to Phuket who are fully immunized may be eligible for the No Quarantine programs, specifically:

Through the Phuket Sandbox program, foreign visitors can freely travel to the province of Phuket. They must receive a negative outcome from an RT-PCR test before they can travel and enjoy themselves in Phuket.

Travelers who participate in the Phuket Sandbox program are exempt from mandatory quarantine but are required to stay in Phuket for at least 7 nights before being allowed to travel to other parts of Thailand.

Who may travel from abroad to Phuket?

  • First-time visitors to Phuket should be immunized foreigners and Thais from any country.
  • Children under the age of 18 who are not immunized who are traveling with immunized parents
  • Travelers from nations not regarded as low-risk
  • Unvaccinated adult travelers will be subject to a 10-day mandatory quarantine at any AQ hotel in Phuket.

Only if your flight to Phuket is PG5275, PG5279, or WE8750 is transiting through Bangkok permitted.

You can ask the cabin crew to be seated two to three rows away from other passengers if your flight to Phuket is not fully booked. You do not need to be isolated or quarantined at your own expense if one of the passengers tests positive for COVID-19 upon arrival.
